Envoy Bargaining Update for November 2017
Your CWA Bargaining Committee met with the Envoy Committee on November 28-30.
On November 28, we passed the only counter proposal not previously submitted. The Company passed a comparison of carriers in the industry.
On November 29, the Company submitted part of a comprehensive counter proposal, which included articles on Furlough/Recall, General, Holiday, Shift Differentials, Sick Leave, Uniforms, and Overtime. Each of these has an economic impact.
On November 30, we passed counter proposals on Shift Differentials, Uniforms, and Holidays. The Company passed proposals on Classifications, Training/Travel, Vacations, Leaves, Benefits, Differentials, Duration, and Compensation.
Prior to giving CWA a compensation proposal, the Company presented a comparison of other carriers in the industry, including Piedmont, SkyWest, United Ground Service, and Envoy. There is a vast difference between our proposal and the Envoy proposal on compensation.
Now that both parties have made proposals on all economic items, we can start to narrow the differences. The Bargaining Committee needs your support as we fight for a fair contract. Please wear your union pins on every shift!
Our next bargaining session is January 30-February 2, 2018. We will be meeting before the next session to plan our next steps.
In the meantime, we wish you all very Happy Holidays!
