CWA AND PIEDMONT REACH TENTATIVE AGREEMENT

Piedmont Airlines and the Communications Workers of America (CWA) have reached a tentative agreement for Fleet and Passenger Service team members. Representatives from Piedmont and CWA have negotiated a fair agreement that raises wages and improves benefits and allows Piedmont to remain competitive in the ground handling business.

"The CWA bargaining team worked hard to reach this agreement, which recognizes the professionalism of passenger service agents at Piedmont and the critical role they play in the success of the company," said Richard Honeycutt, Vice President of CWA District 3 and Chair of CWA's Airlines Council.

Lyle Hogg, Piedmont CEO, would like to thank the members of both negotiating teams for their professional attitudes and perseverance over the last year. The resulting agreement paves the way for continuing opportunities for the 5500 team members who make up Piedmont’s successful ground handling team.

Piedmont and the CWA look forward to ratification, and will continue to work together to ensure the future success for the team.

CWA will share additional details with members soon, including a detailed summary of the tentative agreement, the procedures for voting on ratification of the agreement, and a schedule of informational sessions. Thank you all for your support of the bargaining team throughout the process.
